NJSLA-A Testing April 28th-30th

Eastern Regional High School will administer the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment-Adaptive (NJSLA-A) on Tuesday, April 28th - Thursday, April 30th.  

• Freshmen (9th) will be tested on math, reading, and writing Tuesday through Thursday.
• Juniors (11th) will be tested on comprehensive science on Tuesday and Wednesday ONLY.  

A modified bell schedule will be used for the day and can be found here.  

All testers should report to school by the regular start time of 7:30am. Students will be testing in their TIR unless otherwise notified.

Information regarding the NJSLA-A:

• Administered on a digital platform through an app called SecureTest.
• Students must bring their fully charged, school-issued iPad to the test.  
• Be sure to complete any software updates available.  
• Spare iPads will not be provided.
• A calculator can be used for some sections of the test and is provided through the testing platform
  • Students may also bring their own Desmos Graphing or TI-84 Plus handheld calculator. 
  • Calculators will NOT be provided by the school.
• ONLY WIRED headphones allowed
  •  Headphones will be provided by the school to those who need them.  

Testing time for students with an extra time accommodation will go beyond the indicated time on the bell schedule and are encouraged to bring a snack.  These students also will be provided an opportunity to eat lunch at the conclusion of testing.

Non-testing students should arrive by 9:30am. Non-testing students who take a bus to school should check here to see updated bus stop arrival times. Student drop-off will take place at the rear of the building by the 906 entrance between 8:55 and 9:30am.  

Upon arrival, non-testing students should report as follows: 

• 10th graders- Gym 4
• 11th graders- PAC (Thursday only)
• 12th graders- Gym 4
