The board worker position is extremely integral in ensuring the integrity and fairness of elections by assisting voters at polling places on Election Day. Some of the responsibilities are welcoming voters, verifying registration, providing ballots, explaining the procedure of completing the ballot and answering questions.

Student Board workers:

• Must be at least 16 years old, if under 18 they can only work half a day. (5AM-1PM or 1PM-9PM)
• They get paid $160 for the half day.
• Must attend a training class.
