May 2020 AP Exams: Registration Information

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Eastern Regional High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes in which they have enrolled. Students who perform well on an AP exam can often earn college credit for their high school AP classes, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2020 AP exams, students at Eastern Regional High School will be registering online, with both Total Registration and the College Board. This registration will take only a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.

This year each AP exam costs $94.00. Eastern Regional High School realizes the challenge that this cost may present to some its students. Those approved for the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch Program should contact Mrs. Linda Wasiakowski, lwasiakowski@eccrsd.us, in the Guidance office to learn more about assistance available to them.

***In order to register for testing this year, students must follow a two-part process. To complete Part 1 of the registration process, students should begin by clicking on the link for Total Registration found here:

Total Registration

Online Exam registration through the Total Registration website will begin on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 12:01 AM and end on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:59 PM. Students must answer all of the required questions on the Total Registration website. This part of the registration process is not complete until students have printed the PDF of the confirmation page that is provided at the end. Students will then be directed to log in to the College Board website in order to complete Part 2 of the registration process. Again, students must answer all required questions, paying particular attention to the “Join Code” for each class provided at the end of the Total Registration process. Students MUST register on BOTH websites in order to take an exam this year. This is different than in the past. Please be mindful of the differences in procedure this year and follow all directions as provide for both websites. Additionally, we know that parents may desire to register their students for exams. We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering in order to ensure that the correct information is provided throughout the process.

Eastern Regional High School is excited to offer families the convenience of paying exam fees online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration. Paying online is a great way to make sure that payment has been made while avoiding mailing payment.

Here are the important dates for the registration process:

• Fri, Oct 4, 2019 at 12:01 AM - Registration Begins
• Fri, Nov 1, 2019 at 11:59 PM - Registrations and payments after this date will incur a $55 late fee per test. Late fees are non-refundable.
• Fri, Nov 1, 2019 at 11:59 PM - Registration Ends
• Mon, Nov 4, 2019 at 11:59 PM - Registrations that have not been paid in full will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.
• Thu, Nov 7, 2019 - Last day to cancel an exam and receive a full refund, minus any non-refundable late fees.
• Thu, Mar 5, 2020 - Last day to cancel an exam with a cancellation fee of $40.00.
